Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website or use apps from Old Fashioned Apps, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
In short: the apps don't collect personal data, and nothing is sent to servers run by us, because we don't have any. The website uses no cookies, analytics or tracking.

Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA. When you visit a page, Netlify's servers automatically process technical data your browser sends, such as your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Netlify keeps these logs for a limited period under its own retention policy.
Netlify may process this data in the USA. Netlify is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and transfers are also covered by a data processing agreement with Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 28 and 46 GDPR).
Cookies, analytics and fonts
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising tools. Fonts are served from this website's own server, so no data is sent to Google or other font providers.
Contacting us
If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for questions about a purchase or support request, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the correspondence once it's no longer needed, unless we're legally required to keep it.
Task Bag
Task Bag doesn't collect personal data. We don't run servers for the app, so we never receive your tasks, account details or credentials.
Connected services
When you connect Trello, GitHub, Linear or Asana, you sign in with that service and Task Bag talks to its API directly from your Mac. The service processes your data under its own privacy policy. Task Bag only reads and changes data in the accounts you connect, and only when you use the app.
If you allow access to Apple Reminders, Task Bag reads your reminders on your Mac through macOS. You can withdraw this permission at any time in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Reminders.
Storage on your Mac
Account credentials (access tokens) are stored in the macOS Keychain. Task data is cached on your Mac so the app can show it quickly and offline. Removing an account in Task Bag deletes its credentials and cached tasks. Deleting the app deletes the rest.
iCloud sync
If you buy iCloud sync, your accounts and tasks sync between your devices through your own private iCloud database, and credentials sync through iCloud Keychain. Apple stores this data under the Apple Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We don't receive your name, payment details or Apple Account. Apple only gives us anonymous sales reports.
Diagnostics
Task Bag contains no analytics or crash reporting tools. If you've agreed in macOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics through App Store Connect. We can't identify you from this data. You can turn this off in System Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17)
- restrict its processing (Art. 18)
- receive it in a portable format (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
To use any of these rights, email info@oldfashionedapps.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the one where you live or [the data protection authority for your federal state].
We don't use automated decision-making or profiling. We may update this policy when our apps or this website change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
